McIlroy dating Wozniacki?

U.S. Open champion Rory McIlroy's relationship is over with his girlfriend, Holly Sweeney, amid speculation that he and tennis star Caroline Wozniacki are now an item.

"Rory McIlroy's long-term relationship with Holly Sweeney came to an amicable end before the British Open," an International SportsManagement spokesman said Monday.

Photos were posted on the Internet of McIlroy and Wozniacki apparently kissing Sunday night in London. The photos were removed later.

McIlroy, who won the U.S. Open last month, finished tied for 25th place Sunday at the British Open. The tournament was won by his ISM stablemate and fellow countryman Darren Clarke.

Lamar Odom 'devastated' as 15-year-old boy dies following horrific crash involving NBA star's driver

A 15-year-old boy has died following a collision with a vehicle carrying basketball star Lamar Odom.

The boy underwent emergency surgery in New York City after yesterday's crash, but died this morning, according to TMZ.

A funeral for him was held today, with the website reporting that Lamar is 'devastated' at the tragedy.

The accident happened after the vehicle, driven by a car service employee, collided with a motorcyclist.

The bike then propelled into the 15-year-old pedestrian who was taken to hospital with severe injuries.

Odom, 31, who looked grim as he headed out into the city earlier today, was said to be returning from a trip to the barbershop when the accident happened.

According to reports, the Los Angeles Lakers star, who was uninjured, was particularly upset after the crash took place and was seen crying at the scene.

Odom, is reported by the New York Post to have been travelling in the back seat without his wife Khloe Kardashian in the Queens area of the city.

The basketball player and reality show star is visiting the Big Apple to attend his cousin's funeral.

Earlier toady, he tweeted: 'Thank you for your support and prayers!' after being spotted out in New York with Khloe.

Tiger Woods' ex-wife Elin Nordegren finds new man

Miss Nordegren, 31, who divorced the golf superstar after his relationships with other women were revealed, is said to be involved with Jamie Dingman, a wealthy American investor.

According to the New York Post's Page Six column Mr Dingman, the son of billionaire Michael Dingman, spent time with Miss Nordegren in Florida and Sweden recently.

They reportedly met at a Red Cross Ball in Florida and were photographed near Miss Nordegren's home in Sweden this week.

Mis Nordegren and Woods divorced in August, nine months after the golfer crashed his car into a tree outside their home in Florida.

His indiscretions were subsequently exposed and he lost millions of dollars in sponsorships before taking a hiatus from the game.

Miss Nordegren reportedly received a settlement of around $100 million (£62 million) and joint custody of the couple's two children.

Mr Dingman is said to be an expert in emerging markets in China.

A friend said he was "very private" and told the New York Post: "He's never been so happy. He and Elin have strong feelings for each other. He's a classic all-American guy."

Golf Channel u-turns on Woods' announcement

The Golf Channel has done a u-turn on a Twitter report after appearing to say that Tiger Woods would be making a "special announcement" on Monday morning.



The Golf Channel reported Monday that Woods' agent Mark Steinberg has joined Excel Sports Management, two months after leaving International Management Group. Steinberg has represented Woods since 1999.



The Golf Channel first reported the Woods' announcement Sunday night on its Twitter account, but it did not provide any details and a check on Monday morning showed the Golf Channel had removed the tweet from Twitter.



NBC Sports also reported late Sunday that "Woods will sit down with (anchor) Kelly Tilghman" to make the announcement.



The Golf Channel then posted a story on their website Monday morning saying Tilghman would be interviewing Woods' agent Steinberg "about his business endeavours" and "Woods would not be present during the interview."

Yao Ming Retiring? Chinese Fans Hope Not Yet

Beijing (CNN) -- Yao Ming fans in China reacted with shock and disbelief when they learned from U.S. media reports Friday night that their basketball idol has decided to retire.

Fans took to the Internet Friday to express their feelings about the basketball star, who plays with the Houston Rockets in the NBA.

"I did not expect his retirement to come so soon!" said a Netizen called Yilubaijiahei in a Sina Weibo microblog.

Another person who went by the name Tuzitouda in another tweet wrote: "I feel a little bit of sadness. If Big Yao retires, it is not only the end of an era, but also the end of my NBA-syndrome including those seasons when Yao played with the Rockets."

Major news portals in China put the news on their front pages.

"The U.S. media say Yao has formally decided to retire, Chinese superstar says goodbye to NBA," reads the headline of Tencent Sports.

But Sina Sports, a section of Sina. com, one of China's biggest web portals, says its reporter reached Zhang Mingji soon after hearing the media reports.

Zhang, who is one of Yao's agents, said Yao did not announce his retirement and did not inform the NBA and the Houston Rockets that he was doing so, as reported by the U.S. media.

Yao's agent told CNN that he is giving a news conference in Shanghai on July 20 to talk about "his future career plans."

Chinese sports writers and fans believe that Yao's retirement, of course, will happen sooner or later, although they hope it will be later.

Canucks Flasher Caught On TV

VANCOUVER -- An extremely enthusiastic Vancouver Canucks fan was caught on live television pressing her bare breasts up against the penalty box during the team's victory over the San Jose Sharks, the Vancouver Sun reported Thursday.
The woman's uncensored show of support seemed to be directed towards Sharks forward Ben Eager, who was sat in the penalty box during the third-period of Vancouver's 7-3 win on Wednesday night.
Eager didn't visibly react when the woman lifted her Canucks jersey and bared herflesh. However, the six-second display was picked up by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and shown across the country.
CBC head of media relations Jeff Keay explained that the footage was picked up by an in-house camera that CBC didnot control.
