Justin Bieber and Eminem were the big winners at Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night, scoring 14 awards between them. Sporting his now short, spiky hair and a sparkling gold tuxedo jacket, Bieber beat singer Bruno Mars and rapper Nicki Minaj for best new artist.
There was a six-way tie for second place between Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Usher, Taylor Swift, Mumford & Sons and Taio Cruz, who each won three trophies. Beyoncé, who rocked the stage with a fierce performance of “Run the World (Girls),” took home the Millennium Award and thanked her hubby, Jay-Z.
This is the first year that ABC broadcasted the event and marks the first Billboard Music Awards show since 2007. “Never Say Never” star was spotted back in the arms of girlfriend Selena Gomez last night as the couple took in an intimate concert in Costa Mesa, California.
