In a tragic incident, Nandana, the 8-year old daughter of noted playback singer K.S. Chitra, died at a swimming pool in Dubai where the singer had gone to perform at a musical extravaganza planned by A.R. Rahman.

Chitra, who got married 23 years ago, remained childless for 15 long years and was then blessed with the baby girl Nandana.

The cute girl, who was managing very well despite some communication disorder, was brought up with lots of care and affection by Chitra, who would hardly stay away from her daughter.
