After being accidentally leaked a few days ago, today is the official release date of Beyonce's Run the World (Girls).
It has a techno feel that many artists are turning to nowadays. This is another one of those Beyonce Girl Power songs which is typical of her in her numerous hits [Independent Women, Me Myself & I, Survivor, Diva, Single Ladies...]; the list could go on and on. Though many artists are turning to techno, it seems like the creativity lacks in the lyrics department because the techno beat substitutes verses for repeated phrases such as "WHO RUN THE WORLD?! GIRLS!"
Beyonce is one of the top alpha females in the game, so this song is definitely about her running the world. But very few women I think run it, it's a man's world and I believe it will be for awhile. What women do have is strength that surpasses any man. Through adversity and heartbreak, they end up pulling through and developing themselves to become better than they were yesterday.
