Hollow Man


Here is a summary of incidents in Sleepy Hollow from June 23, 2011 to the morning of June 27, 2011:
June 27
5:25 a.m. A 1995 Chevrolet Sport Van was traveling south on Route 9 when the driver reported he fell asleep and the vehicle veered left across traffic lanes and struck a tree. The driver was transported to the hospital by the Sleepy Hollow ambulance and the vehicle towed from the scene. Full story is here.
June 25
11:25 p.m. A 27-year-old male resident of Sleepy Hollow was arrested for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle. He was released to return to court at a later date.
8:10 p.m. Sleepy Hollow Police received a report of a car accident by the train station. When officers responded to Riverside Drive, they found that a 1998 Mercedes E320 had driven over the embankment and landed on the railroad tracks. The Sleepy Hollow Fire Department responded, with the Ambulance Corps, MTA Police and MTA workers. The vehicle was removed and driver and passenger transported to the hospital with apparent minor injuries received. Full story can be found here.
June 24
12:52 a.m. A Sleepy Hollow police sergeant conducted a traffic stop of a 51-year-old Ossining resident. The subject was also arrested for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He was released to appear in court on Monday.
June 23
6:13 p.m. Sleepy Hollow police conducted a traffic stop on a 19-year-old Sleepy Hollow resident. The male had been arrested two days previously for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, across from police headquarters on Beekman Avenue. On the 23rd, he was again cited for unlicensed driving and again charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He was also charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree. The man apparently had two stolen GPS units in his possession which were taken from a local residence. He will appear in court today.
