Ministries, public authorities and other units of the state administrative apparatus will remain closed on June 29 on the occasion of the blessed anniversary of Al Isra’a Wal Miraj, according to a decision issued by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, minister of the diwan of royal court and chairman of the Civil Service Council, yesterday.

Meanwhile, issuing a decision, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, minister of manpower, declared June 30 as holiday for employees of the private sector establishments. Work will be resumed on July 2.

The decision allows employers and employees to agree on work arrangements during the holiday if necessity arises.

The minister of the diwan of royal court extended his greetings to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on the occasion, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and long life, return of this occasion on His Majesty for many years to come, the Omani people and beloved country further progress and peace under the wise leadership of His Majesty and wellbeing for Muslims all over the world.
